An exotic array of marine and wildlife at Dallas World Aquarium

 
The Dallas World Aquarium and Zoo located in the West End Historic District of Downtown Dallas, Texas.
Inside the massive warehouse, it Is home to many varieties of marine and animal life from all over the globe. Many of these species are endangered, and the Aquarium engages in breeding programs with other zoos.
The Aquarium was opened in 1992 and is run for-profit. The upper portion houses the Dallas World Aquarium’s zoo, artificial reproduction of the Orinoco Rainforest, and is an aviary with various birds flying around.
World Aquarium Animals include various displays of three-toed sloths and Antillean Manatees, which are the only ones in the USA. There are also electric eels, tamarins, poison dart frogs, caecilians, Orinoco crocodiles, and vampire bats.
The lower portion is the aquaria, which features fish, sea anemones, coral, jellyfish, and other sea animals worldwide. The ten popular tanks house the aquatic life of different countries such as Japan, Sri Lanka, Bahamas, Fiji, British Columbia, Southern Australia, etc.
It is also a part of a joint initiative between local companies and corporations and the Dallas Public School district. Many of the employees who work at the Aquarium are also full-time students at the School of Business and Management at the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet High School.
This initiative is a part of a work-study program by the school, emphasizes real-world business learning and practices to teach children about the running of an aquarium.
 

Dallas World Aquarium Tickets

 
 
The World Aquarium has introduced the Timed-Entry system in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. Guests are requested to purchase Dallas World Aquarium Online Tickets in advance and check-in at the main entrance at the corner of Laws and Corbin streets. Guests can check-in within 30 minutes of their chosen time.
The Aquarium has the option to scan mobile tickets and printed ones as well. Guests without reservation are also welcome; however, priority will be given to those booked in advance.
Dallas World Admission is strictly at the staff’s discretion after temperature checks and other necessary checks being met.
 

How much does the Dallas World Aquarium cost to enter?

 
 
Dallas World Aquarium prices are based on age and are as follows: 
 

  • Dallas World, Dallas, Tx entry for adults cost $26.95
  • World Aquarium entrance fee for children (3 years to 12) cost $18.95
  • Children below two years of entry are free.
  • For senior citizens (65+), Dallas World discount applies, and the tickets are priced at $22.95
  • To honor their sacrifice, Dallas World Discount Tickets are also offered to a veteran, active-duty and military personnel and their dependents and spouses, and it is priced at $22.95.
  • Dallas Aquarium teacher discounts, as well as Dallas Aquarium student discounts, are not provided. 

 

Dallas World Aquarium Membership

 
 
There are six types of membership options provided by the Aquarium, which are:
 

  • Individual: This includes privilege for one adult cardholder, which is $120, excluding tax.

 

  • Dual: Privileges for two adult cardholders and is priced at $225 plus tax
  •  
  • Family: Privileges for two adult cardholders and upto four children under 18 years of age who still reside in the house is priced at $325, excluding tax. Cab adds a designated caretaker for $120 plus tax.

 

  • Single-Parent Family: It includes privileges for one adult cardholder and upto four children under 18 years and still residing at home. It is priced at $275 plus tax.

 

  • Grandparents: Privileges for two adults and upto four grandchildren under the age of 18 years. The cost for this membership is $295, excluding tax.

 

  • Single grandparent: Privileges for one grandparent and upto four grandchildren under the age of 18 years. The price for this membership offer is $225 plus tax. 

 
 Can add Additional members to the membership after paying the extra charges.

  • Free admission for one whole year

 

  • A select “members only” entrance for World Aquarium, Texas membership cardholders.

Parking near World Aquarium is very convenient as the Aquarium owns two parking spaces. The DWA Priority Public Parking, parking for World Aquarium, is situated right next to the Aquarium, allowing quicker access for guests to park their vehicles. 
 
However, World Aquarium free parking is only for limited membership holders. If the parking at the Dallas Aquarium and adjacent lots are full, then there are many parking lots around the area. City-operated parking meters are also available, which are priced at $8 to $10.

This exhibit houses the Dallas World Aquarium Black Panther or the Dallas World Aquarium Jaguar exhibit is in this portion of the Aquarium. It also houses Ocelots, Balck-and-White Hawk-Eagle, Axolotl and fish, reptiles and amphibians like Jack Dempsey Cichlid, red-eared slider turtle,red-tailed boa constrictor, and Morelet’s crocodile, to name a few.

World Aquarium sloths are kept in the Orinoco exhibit, also known as the Dallas World Aquarium Rainforest. There is the Hoffman’s two-toed sloth and Brown-throated three-toed sloth
